The Knox County Emergency Communications District handles many telephone calls and creates many CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) records every year.
The following statistics show some of what we do.
In 2018 we answered 586,602 telephone calls. Of these 253,589 were 911 calls.
As many as 91.49% of the 911 calls came from wireless phones (cell phones).
There were 609,560 incidents created in the dispatch system.
The radio system used by the Police, Sheriff and Fire Departments logged 402,096 minutes of airtime.

26,538 were KFD
80,776 were Rural Metro
In 2018 KCECD had 30 complaints regarding calls for service, 22 of those were founded.
